Everyone’s Watching Jackson Hole (They’re Missing the Real Play)
Everyone’s obsessing over Jackson Hole this week. Here’s what they’re missing.
Powell’s gonna speak Friday about Fed policy.
But Tuesday through Thursday, we’re getting retail earnings that’ll actually tell us what’s happening in the economy right now.
Here’s the lineup:
- Tuesday: Home Depot
- Wednesday: Target, Estée Lauder, Lowe’s, TJMaxx
- Thursday: Walmart and Ross Stores
Powell can talk all he wants about monetary policy. These companies are about to show us if consumers are actually spending money.
And I’ve got my eye on one setup.
One of these retailers has missed earnings three straight quarters: -3%, -11%, -23% on each report.
Think that pattern just magically reverses this time?
While everyone waits for Jackson Hole wisdom, I’m positioning for what’s probably gonna be another retail disappointment.

YOUR ACTION PLAN
Puts early in the week. If they somehow beat expectations, I’ll add calls and turn it into a strangle. But right now, the smart money says bet on more disappointment.
Inside The War Room, members get the exact ticker, strikes, and position sizing for this trade.
Because while the financial media debates Fed policy, we’ll be banking on retail reality.
