The three major indexes notched their seventh straight week of gains, marking the longest winning streak since 2017. The Dow also posted an intraday record on Friday, and the Nasdaq100 had a new closing high.

United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X)

United States Steel Corporation is up 28.17% premarket in response to a $14.9 billion acquisition by Nippon Steel. Japan’s largest steelmaker will buy the American company for $55 a share in cash, a 40% premium to the stock’s closing price Friday.

NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO)

NIO is up 9.65% premarket after the electric vehicle maker announced it signed a pact for an investment of $2.2 billion from CYVN Holdings, an investment vehicle based in Abu Dhabi, the Chinese company said on Monday. The deal is expected to close in the final week of December, would take CYVN’s shareholding to 20.1% of Nio’s total issued and outstanding shares, following an investment of $1 billion in July.
