Earlier this week, GameStop (NYSE: GME) went on a tear. However, in The War Room, I recognized this tear wouldn’t last.

GameStop put options were super expensive thanks to the volatility. That means the price of the stock would go lower, but the options would not follow because they had so much volatility premium, which allows the market makers to fudge with the price.

So War Room members did something that very few people think about unless they have a ton of experience. They did go short GameStop, but they used another vehicle – an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that owns GameStop as its largest position.
