Good morning Wake-Up Watchlisters! Pop in a pod and if you got a frother, (Doesn’t everyone?) start heating the milk, because its time for the premarket leaders. Its a slow open with the indexes pretty flat and mixed, but get your trading in now, tomorrow they’ll be closing up shop for Juneteenth.
Here’s a look at the top-moving stocks this morning.
La-Z-Boy Inc. (NYSE: LZB)
La-Z-Boy Inc. is up 10.30% in premarket trading after the furniture company released earnings last night surprising anaylsts. With quarterly earnings coming in at $0.95, blowing away analysts expectations of $0.65 a share and revenue of $553 million, 6.7% above expectations as well. This makes the third quarter in a row that La-Z-Boy has stumped the analysts and shareholders are thrilled.
NextEra Energy Inc.(NYSE: NEE)
NextEra Energy Inc. is down 6.32% in premarket trading. This drop comes after company leadership announced plans to sell $2.0 billion in equity units. Each $50 equity unit is a contract to purchase NextEra Energy common stock in the future and a 5% interest in a NextEra Energy Capital Holdings, due June 1, 2029, for $1,000. The share sale is expected to raise over $1.94 billion in capital for NextEra which will go towards the goal of investing $12 billion in solar energy from 2024 to 2027.
Rollins Inc. (NYSE: ROL)
Rollins Inc. is up 5.48% in premarket trading. The pest control giant is hitting new high after new high over the past few weeks. Now analysdts have given the company an upgrade to its relative strength indicator, up to 83 from 80 the day before, designating it an especially lucrative pickup for investors.
