This Record Breaking Buyout Is Just A Distraction
Most people look at Electronic Arts (EA) and see one thing right now: the largest leveraged buyout in gaming history (a $55 billion offer from Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund).
They think the trade is simple.
Stock trades at $200, deal closes at $210, you pocket the spread and go home.
That’s not how I look at it.

Here’s the thing about EA’s trend… it’s not what most people think.
Yes, the stock jumped from the $168 range all the way to $200 after the deal was announced in September 2025.
