Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN)

Amazon is up 0.98% premarket after announcing it will invest $4 billion in San Francisco-based startup Athropic. The move into Artificial Intelligence is an effort to compete with big tech rivals Google and Microsoft. As part of the deal, Amazon will get access to Anthropic’s AI technologies and build them into its cloud services offerings.

HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ)

HP is down 2.69% premarket after billionaire investor Warren Buffett continues to trim his stake in the PC maker following the group’s poor earnings last month. Buffett sold 4.8 million shares valued at around $130 million last week, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing published Friday.
