DraftKings is arguably the most well-known play in online betting, especially for sports. The company has the best technology and platforms out there, and it’s growing its market share fairly quickly.

Besides the bevy of personalities that sport its brand or are on the board – names like Bryson DeChambeau and Michael Jordan – DraftKings also has huge interest from major investors, like Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, who just bought another 780,000 shares yesterday.

They’re betting that DraftKings can tap into the $80 billion sports betting market in the U.S. in a big way. But DraftKings has even bigger plans.

This week, the company made an offer for Entain, the huge betting company based in the U.K. It offered $20 billion for this company, and while there are complexities that may hamper the offer, it goes to show that DraftKings is seeing a massive future surge in all types of online gambling.
